Petra Aquaresist DPM 5000
Petra Aquaresist DPM 5000 PRODUCT OVERVIEW
PETRA AQUARESIST DPM 5000 is a water based white pigmented compound based on speciality polymers designed to use as:
(a) Liquid applied waterproofing membrane for external surface / roofs
(b) Anticarbonation coating along with primer, especially on building roofs, basements and structural works. The dried films have low water absorbance character along with good water repellent properties
(c) Protective coating as such or after mixing with suitable Stainer
Application of Petra Aquaresist DPM 5000
This product is used as a liquid applied water and damp proofing membrane and can be brush or roller applied on surfaces that are cleaned well.
A high-pressure water jet cleaning is recommended before applying PETRA AQUARESIST DPM 5000. It should not be used directly on a highly water-soaked surface; allow the surface to dry gently prior to the application.
Recommended to apply initial coating (first layer) diluted with 10 % water after proper mixing or can use PETRA’s Primer compound first. It is advised to apply a minimum dry thickness of 0.4 – 0.5 mm in two to three coats each with a total coverage of approx. 0.7 – 0.8 kg compound per m². The second coat is applied only when the first coat is touch dry: this is usually possible in 1 to 2 hour after applying the first coat. The compound dries fast and results in a white membrane with high strength and flexibility.
It can also be used as a paint coating for the exterior wall where we need excellent water and water vapor barrier, water repellent properties.
It is good to use this compound in sandwich applications with suitable glass fibre mesh preferably having 45 GSM for getting better durability.
